Creating Identities
- Identities are a way
to manage the various email accounts you use when posting to newsgroups.
For example, suppose that you post pictures to alt.binaries.pictures.aviation
and that you want these posts to be associated with an email address you
use just to talk to your aviation friends. The Identities preference allows
you to do this. If you post to several newsgroups, Identities are a convenient
way to make sure that correspondence goes to the correct email address.
Procedure
21 - Creating an Identity
- Launch NewsHunter.
- Select NewsHunter Preferences...
from the NewsHunter menu.
- Click the Identities
tab.
- Enter your information
into the appropriate fields.
- Click the Insert Identity
button.
- The inserted identity
is added to the Available Identities list.

22 - Updating an Identity
- Launch NewsHunter.
- Select NewsHunter Preferences...
from the NewsHunter menu.
- Click the Identities
tab.
- Select the identity
from the Available Identities list.
- Edit the information
as needed.
- Click the Update Identity
button.

23 - Deleting an Identity
- Launch NewsHunter.
- Select NewsHunter Preferences...
from the NewsHunter menu.
- Click the Identities
tab.
- Select the identity
from the Available Identities list.
- Click the Delete Identity
button.

use.

- Open a NewsHunter document.
